Great campground. Owners are very helpful and really work hard to make sure that everyone is happy. Pool is spotless, sites are typical KOA and there was plenty to do. We had one of the “deck” sites that made it very enjoyable. Bouncing pillow is worth the cost and the kids had a blast. Separate vendor offered horse back riding tours as well. We will return here for another great holiday weekend.
Had a bad experience with this park that cost me time and money. Reserved a site for a 31’ TT, confirmed it by telephone two week before arriving, and was bumped to a different site that was only 35’ long and no sewer. It was a glorified tent site on the side of a hill. Electric and water hookups were at least 50’ part from each other with the water outlet in the grass between sites. Park was sold out and they could not give me another site. I wasted eight hours of driving, $78 in diesel, and 250 miles of wear and tear (half on curvy mountain roads). I was given a full refund but there was no apology or explanation from the staff as to why this happened. We were supposed to be camping with 10 other families at the park. Waste. Of. Time. Lesson I learned? Always get a paper confirmation and record who you spoke with originally!
A great park that is near to our home. Not many campsites but each one is wide and deep. Flat area, great for bike riding. I feel good about letting my kids ride around the loop by themselves without the fear of them being in the wy of others/ Nice playground and pavilioion. We camped there with four other families. Plus it has a pool that we have used int the past that is clean and not crowded.
This one of my favorite places in Georgia. The sites are well secluded and right along the lake. Privacy is almost guaranteed for all sites. Well run park and close to Augusta and a favorite German deli we like to visit.
Camped here for the first time during the fourth of July holiday. Great place for kids because of the activities that the rangers and the naturalists plan for the folks there. The park was full and a little crowded but sites were fine and few bugs. Beach was nice but the river was down so the water dropped off quickly into deeper areas. If you have kids, this is the place to be for outdoor fun with the rangers. They made the week!
